Like sailfish, black Marlins commonly move into relatively shallow water, along or near continental shelves or the coastlines of islands like Corbetena and El Banco where You will go from 1,000 FT water depths to a 100 ft in a second and the water temperatures will increase dramatically both el Banco and Corebtena are huge rocks 36 and 50 miles offshore that are huge feeding grounds for all Puerto Vallarta fish and are within easy reach of all of Our Puerto Vallarta fishing boats The Puerto Vallarta Marlin fishing Season starts in June and peaks in July and August for the most consitent bite buut the biggest Marlins seem to always be caught October and November through October and dies down mid January. the tuna and Marlin tournament is held in July and the 62nd sailfish and Marlin Tournament will be mid November |
